About Ki besimcha:
One of my original songs, it came to me as I was on the phone with one of my closest, dearest friends who had just made the decision to leave Los Angeles. After an awkward moment of silence on the line, I wrote this melody with the phone receiver on the piano. It could not have sounded better without this soul wrenching duet between Uziah Tzadok and Itzik Dadya. If you haven’t heard of Itzik yet, it’s just a matter of time, as he is quickly climbing to be the most talented singer in Jewish music. Itzik, just 18 years old, just entered the Israeli military, and is now deep inside Gaza.We pray for his well being as we sing “Ki Vesimcha Saytzatu”.
