Novi Melachim tells the story of Elisha Hanavi predicament. He couldn’t receive his desperately needed Nevuah because he wasn’t B’machshava. He immediately arranged for music to be played for him so that he can have the Harchavas Halev and would therefore be Zocheh to Ruach Hakodesh. From this Pasuk, “V’atah kechu li menagen” the gemara in Shabbos learns that the Shechina will not descend and dwell among us unless there is a genuine Simcha of a Dvar Mitzvah, to which Rashi comments that the only true simcha of a Mitzvah is Hachnasas Kallah.
